Tivo must haves?

I'm here by myself and I have the remote.
The presence of two four-year-olds in this house is obvious by the abundance of "Blue's Clues" and "Yo Gabba Gabba" on the MonkeyTivo.

There was just nothing good I could find on TV, so I grabbed our friend M's "Wonderfalls" DVDs and have been watching that instead.

Mar. 14th, 2007 02:31 pmI took today off work because I didn't want to jump right back into a 12+ hour day. So I finished my morning class at 10:40. My afternoon class isn't until 5:30.
A sensible HellZiggy would have gone home to take a nap with a 6 hour gap there.
But I didn't. I'm at school.
I'm being productive though... I have a midterm in tonight's class so I've been studying for that with frequent LJ breaks to amuse my mind. I also wandered on down the street to Eli's for lunch. It was good but not as good as it should have been. I'm still bummed that they got rid of the Turkey Waldorf sandwich. It was one of my all-time favorite sandwiches EVAH!
It's just about time to dash back to StudyLand, but first, a poll!!

friday & LJ layout
Sep. 1st, 2006 12:41 pmMy first long friday since switching my schedue for school... Not gone insane yet...
I've been playing with my journal layout because I was getting bored with it and LJ had added the Vox styles. So I picked the one I liked but it didn't have enough options in the customize. Mainly in font choice and size. It was a titch too small for my liking because I keep all my monitors at max resolution.
I've found one now that I like. It has a tags list. It has the skip forward/back links at the top (always a good thing because I read entries from bottom to top) The theme I picked has a black background w/light text which I prefer to the opposite. There are clear line delineations between each entry. The user pics don't affect the text alignments.
So many things I didn't realize I wanted but now have.
I'm going to wait until I'm home though to start tweaking the colors, font sizes, etc.

maintenance sucks!
May. 31st, 2006 02:08 amUgh. I just spent a good part of my evening doing maintenance on my Photo Gallery, moving pictures and albums and creating new albums so that it will be slightly organized. Bleah. Really makes a person appreciate click & drag interfaces!

Mar. 10th, 2006 03:29 pmHome from work! It's a beeyouteeful 54 degrees F. out there! (For you non-americans out there, that would be 12 degrees C. Boy, that makes it sound cold)
I've got the front door open and some windows to get a fresh breeze going through. Lump has been firmly attached to the stool I put in front of the screen door for about an hour now. She loves looking out windows and if she can get fresh air at the same time she considers it a bonus!
i've also got a fire going in the fireplace, because I like the smell & sound of it, and the fact that I've got windows open will keep the house from getting overheated by it!
Rick & I are gonna go to Darek & Nissa's for dinner tonight and then we will be introducing them to the joy of Killer Bunnies!
And now to make your Friday happier, here's a picture of James:

The sucky thing about being sick between Xmas and New Years is that there really isn't much on the TiVo for me to watch. I just watched an old episode of "Close To Home." It's another average legal drama with nothing too remarkable about it. But it stars Jennifer Finnigan as an assistant DA (she's not really been in much other than the sitcom "Committed" which hellbob & I both loved) but the reason I started TiVoing it is because Christian Kane plays her husband. He's usually only in the beginning and/or end of the episode but he's very good at playing the adoring husband & father. I just hope she never sends him into the basement for a light bulb!
Oooh. I have Netflix. I don't remember what though...
