mcpenguin is a firefighter working down in Antarctica. He's usually at McMurdo Station but he got to go to the actual South Pole earlier this week and he'll be there for a month. He actually arrived there on the 95th anniversary, to the day, of the first human's (Roald Amundson) arrival at the pole. He'll be down there on the solstice and Christmas. How fucking cool is that?And there is an actual pole at the South Pole. He kindly agreed to let me steal his picture to make an icon! Yay!

I blamedakegra and anonymous_greg and caitirin and everyone else in that group... I have an eyeball icon now. I'm rather happy with how it turned out, although I think my eye is a titch more green in real life.
It's damn hard to take a picture of your own eye with a SLR camera!
