Ok minions! I'm bored with the selections on the MonkeyTivo.

I'm here by myself and I have the remote.

The presence of two four-year-olds in this house is obvious by the abundance of "Blue's Clues" and "Yo Gabba Gabba" on the MonkeyTivo.

Bored!

What shows should [livejournal.com profile] genevra & [livejournal.com profile] akdar be watching? If I agree with your selection it might just get added to their Tivo while they are gone. The Middleman has already been added.

Mwah hah hah!!!!

*edit*
There was just nothing good I could find on TV, so I grabbed our friend M's "Wonderfalls" DVDs and have been watching that instead.

Ah...I wish I could give you some good suggestions, but I don't turn on the TV except during severe weather to see the warnings. In the past I've been a fan of Dr. Who (and I hear the new Dr. is pretty sexy)....are Red Dwarf re-runs on any channels? All of my ideas are old British shows: The Mighty Boosh, Are You Being Served, et. al - all those old British comedies.

Those suggestions are probably pretty unexciting (and they have probably seen them all anyway...).

Good luck in your evilness!!

If you want to be truly evil, you could set their Tivo to record all the RNC coverage this week.

Otherwise here's a list of the shows Aureth and I record:
Eureka on Sci-Fi
Burn Notice on USA
Mythbusters on Discovery
Food Detectives on Food Network
Evolve on History Channel

I don't want to be evil, I just want something interesting for me to watch that they might like too. :)
They already have Eureka & Mythbusters. I think they might have Food Detectives. I'll have to check that.

Ah. I misconstrued your 'Mwah hah hah!!!!' to be an Evil laugh.
Food Detectives can be amusing if you like Mythbusters-type shows. I watch it because I like Ted Allen. I also like watching Alton Brown, but I keep forgetting to record new episodes of Good Eats.

The problem with finding good shows to watch is that we are sort of in between seasons right now. A lot of the summer shows are wrapping up, and the fall shows don't start until mid- to late September. So unless you like reruns, there ain't a lot on TV.

C likes Caillou - though Caillou is kind of whiny.
Little Bear is good.
Ruby and Max
Lazytown
Spongebob Squarepants is generally okay for C, as well as still entertaining for us.
Sesame Street is a good old standby.
Anything on Sprout is pretty safe.

C enjoys Keeping Up With Appearances. It has a lot of physical humor.

Oh wait! I took this as a bored with the kids selections - want different kids selections - as to what the grown ups should be watching - no clue. How about Pimp My Ride and Cribs?

Well at least Yo Gabba Gabba is really funky kids stuff. If you can catch Pignu, the swearing penguin, on Sprout, that might also be entertaining.

Sid The Science Kid on PBS is preschool appropriate.

Oh, but you meant something appropriate for adults.

Hmmm... I got nothin'. They already watch Project Runway, so that's right out.

How about old L&O episodes? I think that you might be able to form some sort of infinite loop. 24 hours of constant episodes on multiple channels might cause the Tivo to collapse in on itself.

True, there is pretty much L & O on every hour of every day.

The Big Bang Theory. Four nerds and the pretty girl that lives across the hall. Intelligent humor, a lot of the time. They have to play to the dummies in the crowd, but there are a lot of other digs that you gots to have a brain to appreciate.

They've already got that one. Besides, it's in reruns so I've seen them all already!

I hadn't seen it mentioned. That's the one that's come to mind so far.

I know it's reruns- suck. I'm hoping the season starts up again soon. I'm booooooooooooooooooooored with summer TV.
