Summer's over. The flowers in the garden are dead.



We got snow on Friday night, and the temps have been below freezing.

The fountain is still on outside romeoa's apartment building though.


I love the fact that 3 different people's reactions on seeing the cool ice formations was "We gotta let Sharon know." So yes, I hopped in the car and went to take pictures.

OK, I knew I was out of shape. Didn't realize just how bad it was until I actually *gasp* exercised.

Last week I joined Snap Fitness with J. from work. They had a special going where there was no enrollment fee, and they have month to month contracts, so I figure if I end up not using it I'll only be out a few months fees.

I went to work out yesterday for the first time and barely made my 15 minutes on the elliptical machine.

but wow! am I ever achy today. Mostly my thighs. It's that sort of feels good ache you get from exercise, but it is definitely something I'm not used to!

In other news, I did horrible on my Spanish test. I got a B- which doesn't seem that bad except that I'd been getting A's on everything 'til now.

It was raining when I left school. When I got home the raindrops were looking a little white and solid. It was also windy as all fuck out there. Right now it looks like we've got about an inch out there and it's still coming down.

I expect that it will be absolutely GORGEOUS out by the time I get up tomorrow. And I can leisurely enjoy it & take some pictures before snowblowing because I'm working the afternoon shift instead of morning. Yay! Sleeping in *and* pretty snow!

If the snow on the roof is too heavy, you see, the ceiling will cave in. His brains are in terrible danger.

Work was closed today!!!! Yay!!!! They NEVER close!

I think I'm developing a relationship with my driveway... In the last week I've blown it three times! In the interest of full disclosure though, hellbob did also blow the driveway. Just once though, because he doesn't really like to do it as much as I do.

After I snowblowed the entire driveway this morning I hopped in the car to go to genevra's house.
We were taking the monkeys sledding!
I didn't have my camera on me while we were sledding, but I did get a couple pictures right after.

Yup, It's the annual March over 6" snowfall. State High School Hockey tournaments just ended, time for the snow!

While there may be some bitching from my flist out there about the snow, I just have to say that I absolutely LOVE this snowfall! The big March snowfall that we get every year is my absolute favorite. It's not too cold. It's big fluffy flakes. The world is gorgeous. And it doesn't stay for more than a few days, a week at the most. In fact, I'm about to use the last few minutes of my lunch to go out with my camera!

Now that he's a college graduate hellbob is working from home. I, on the other hand, am at work. I can make it from home to work in about 20 minutes when the roads are clear and there are no accidents or such affecting traffic. Today it took about 50-55 minutes. I do have to add that it would probably only have been about 40-45 minutes if I hadn't been so busy paying attention to the road surface and the cars around me and such to actually notice when I got to my exit from 100 to 62. So I went on to the next exit, turned around, and headed back to 62. Oops.

So many people called in that they are requiring 4 hours of overtime. However, those that made it in today got free pizza for lunch, vending machine coupons, and the OT is available to us, but not required!! Yay!

I'm just about to head outside to snowblow for the first time this year! OMG! So much pretty fluffy white snow! I will be taking pictures first, of course! Yay! I love the first big snowfall, especially when I didn't have to go to work! *bounce*bounce*bounce*

And afterwards I get to stuff myself silly on turkey again!!!
