I caught up on reading Twitter. I caught up on reading Facebook. I transfered the pics from my camera memory cards to my computer. I was going to catch up on reading LJ. But it's too damn late. 2:00 am. I should be in bed.
I'll catch up tomorrow...
I may even post some pictures and tell y'all about my lovely evening. I walked down by the river & took pictures, then had a couple refreshing beverages at Pracna on Main, then went to see the AMAZING documentary "Prodigal Sons" at St. Anthony Main.
I'm tired now.
I'm going to be very stiff & achey tomorrow because while walking along by St. Anthony Main w/two hours to kill between work & the movie I decided to go check out the lower trail. I deny any rumor that says I ducked under a chain to get there... I just love that area down there where you can see old ruins and look up at the old buildings and see little branches from the river trickle by. I can't wait until it greens up this spring/summer! Anyway, my super out of shape self is already feeling the ache from climbing on uneven surfaces. It was worth it though. :)
And now, off too bed.

Oh, I got an email about this from Eventful.

You put in a demand to get this movie, CA$H, to your city, and the top 5 cities get a free showing. I'm always up for a free movie! But the main reason you all should demand it is because I am greedy! You see, the in top 5 cities, in addition to getting the free screening, one person in each city will win $2500! I like money, and I really like free money. So you guys should go demand it too and maybe you'll win money and maybe I'll win money, and either way, it's minimal effort!

And hey, as long as you're at Eventful anyway, how about throwing some love toward Paul & Storm's W00tstock demand?

Joss Whedon's Serenity on the big screen.
On Joss Whedon's birthday.
To benefit Joss Whedon's favorite charity, Equality Now.

31 Screenings Confirmed As Of June 03, 2006
Australia, Canada, United States

The Minneapolis screening: June 22, Minneapolis MN (USA) - Riverview Theater

But I'm too lazy to go all the way to a theater.
And I have a really big TV.
And I have a brand new comfy couch.

So, Friday June 23, Serenity charity screening at the HellHouse! I figure we can easily fit about 10 people comfortably.
Let's say about 7:30 or so.

Bring a donation for Equality Now and come watch the Big Damn Movie on my Big Damn Red Couch. $5, $50, $500, whatever amount you're comfortable with. Or you can PayPal a donation through the www.mnfirefly.com website.

Also, please RSVP so we don't get more people than will fit and so I can plan on how many people I will be feeding! To RSVP just reply in the comments here!

There are two ways to fight a battle like ours. One is to whisper in the ear of the masses, try subtlely and gradually to change the gender expectations and mythic structures of our culture. That's me. The other is to step up and confront the thousands of atrocities that are taking place around the world on an immediate, one-by-one basis. That's a great deal harder, and that's Equality Now. It's not about politics; it's about basic human decency.

Today I get to be a slacker. :)
Yay vacation!
Right now I'm sittin' on the comfy new couch watching These girls. I don't know if the movie is supposed to be any good or not, but it will have nekkid David Boreanaz and that's really all a person needs to know. *grin*
I've got a porketta cooking in the crock pot. Mmmmm. The house smells good!
I need to start putting some of the living room stuff back, but I'm not feeling ambitious enough yet.
