Jan. 15th, 2009 07:42 amSince I live in Minnesota, and since this is the coldest day of the year so far, I'm pretty much required to make a post about the weather, aren't I?
It's -21ºF! Eek! (That's -29ºC for all you non-Americans.)
Luckily I have a
hellbob who started my car when he left for work.
If I was working a full day today I think I'd actually have to put on a coat when running next door to Surdyk's. -10º is about my cutoff for wearing a coat just to run next door...

Date: 2009-01-15 04:26 pm (UTC)I don't think mine beeps to say no fuel. The new car has a warning light and I don't remember about the other one. I never let the gas tank get low enough to trigger anything. I don't think the older car (the temp-beepy one) has anything to say low gas. It has a display of how many miles you have left before you stop, but it doesn't warn you when you get there.

There was an episode of Top Gear a while back where Jeremy Clarkson drove an Audi from London to Edinburgh and back again on a single tank - the computer said he was down to zero miles while he was still quite a way from the finish point and he still made it...
