I'm getting a copy of the new iWork!
Brian kicks frickin' ass! He's giving it to me because of the work on the database that I do for him. Holy freakin' cow! His offer was sooo unexpected.

Date: 2007-08-08 09:18 pm (UTC)I've been listening fanatically for like a year and a half.... I should point you to the links in my archive of the covermixes I've made. Too few of my flist are into covers to care...

Date: 2007-08-08 09:37 pm (UTC)When Brian mentions Sharon, the Official Coverville Historian, that is me. :)
When I started listening I wanted a list of the songs from the shows so that I could keep track of which ones I liked and needed to buy and also to keep track of which shows I'd listened too. He didn't have one at the time but said he was working on one because he needed it for licensing.
Well, after the licensing deadline I contacted him again and he didn't have it done yet but he sent me what he had. I finished it up to have it for myself and sent a copy back to him. When the next quarter rolled around he still hadn't updated his copy so I've been sending him up to date databases every quarter since then!

Date: 2007-08-08 09:50 pm (UTC)Along the same lines of our overlapping music tastes, I notice you have "One badass fucking fractal" as your journal's subtitle.... Mad props to all JoCo fans. Mandelbrot set and First of May are definitely in heavy rotation in my basic playlist, but then, so is pretty much the rest of his entire catalog... =)
Cheers,
Matt

Date: 2007-08-08 10:16 pm (UTC)Manelbrot Set is definitely a favorite of mine. And the journal title is a Joss Whedon quote from when he was talking about the name of the movie Serenity.
I have a Moose that I take pictures of different places and with different people. I got him with JoCo when he was here in the Twin Cities w/Hodgman!

Also, I have a discourse on why I love covers... I don't remember the exact link, but it's the most recent post found here:
