The one time I just look at the date on the milk carton and don't smell it first...
It's not January 7th yet!!! And it was pretty full so it hadn't been open long. We probably picked it up at a convenience store because the brand was something like "Really Good Milk" instead of one of the name brands like Kemps or Land O Lakes. I think we'll be sticking to name brand now.
In totally related news, I'm now drinking a Kahlua & Irish Cream because it makes my mouth forget the icky taste.

You know when I have had this happen? For some reason the store brand of Byerlies, of all places, has done this to me on about 3 occasions!! I love little sometimes trips to Byerlies, but I won't buy their store brand milk anymore! Cub Foods off brand double gallons tend to be quite reliable, however. Plus their expiration dates run rather long.

Weird. We've never had it happen w/Byerly's. We usually tend to get our milk there because the Byerly's at Duluth St & Hwy 100 is the most convenient grocery store for us. We do our "We just need a couple things" shopping there and hit Cub for the big grocery trips.
