Ooh, maybe it's just because I've consumed half a bottle of wine tonight, but I'm really digging that last photo of the carousel in motion. But I think I'd like it even if I wasn't tipsy.

I took a few motion pictures of it and that was the one that seemed to come out best. I was really regretting not bringing my monopod for my camera with how dark it was through the whole place...

Oh yeah, House On The Rock is not well lit. Which just makes it creepier. I remember the room with the red lamps in the second photo. I believe my exact words when I walked in were, "Holy Fuck!"

I think the lions/clock one is my favorite. We'll have to go one of these days -- we've driven past it a jillion times (hubby's parents live on the other side of Wisconsin) and wondered what it was....

Having gone and looked at your gallery, we may wait a bit before we take the girls there. The flower-heads are not the most freakish things there.

Those flower-heads were in one of the women's restrooms. The taxidermied animals in the gallery are in the men's restroom.
It was near the end of the day on a weekday when we were there, so we didn't see many people. Since the restrooms were empty I checked out the men's and Hellbob checked out the women's.
