Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs used to be a QVC host. He did a 3 hour late night shift.
Go to YouTube and do a search for "Mike Rowe" and "QVC"
According to the YouTube user who's been uploading the clips:

"These were all taped directly off QVC in 1992, when I was in college. My friends and I would stagger home from the bars at 2 a.m. and turn on QVC in hopes that "that guy who clearly hates his job" would be hosting that night. We started a Mike Rowe comedy cult, of sorts, and taped as much as we could. I've only recently started digitizing it"

Oh dear GAWD that was hilarious! The Hubbsterdude™ and I were totally laughing over this. We're big Mike Rowe fans. He has such a caustic sense of humor.

He's sorta local to the DC area...he sang opera in Baltimore and did the New Homes showcase (those tv programs usually shown on Sundays that talk up all the new McMansion-y developments) right up until he started doing "Dirty Jobs". You can still see him on commercials for I think it's the Medicine Shoppe pharmacy chain.
