Email I can't read

No, this isn't spam. Yes, it is from a band. It is that Turkish cover band that I linked to back in this post. ( http://hellziggy.livejournal.com/485196.html ) I had sent them an email asking if/how I could buy their album here in the US. (The answer was 'Ebay' so it is on its way to me! Yay!) So I know who it is from. And I know how I got on the list. I just don't know what it says!

I have no idea what this email says:

Dolapdere Big Gang grubu  müziğin evrenselliğine inanan, müziğiyle Türkiye’de olduğu gibi, yurtdışında da önemli hayran kitlesi olan bir topluluktur.

 

Müzik anlayışından da  rahatlıkla anlaşılabileceği gibi hiçbir siyasi parti grup ya da görüşe angaje bulunmayan  Dolapdere Big Gang her kesimden geniş bir dinleyici kitlesi tarafından benimsenmiş bir müzik grubudur. 

 

Ancak dün yayınlanan haberlerle, Dolapdere Big Gang projesi, adı ne olursa olsun, siyasi bir mecraya çekilmek istenmektedir. Sözkonusu asılsız iddialar, Dolapdere Big Gang grubu üyeleri ile yapımcı şirketimizi de son derece rahatsız etmiştir.

 

Dolapdere Big Gang üyeleri, bugüne kadar sadece yaptıkları müzikle var oldukları gibi, bugünden sonra da yaptıkları müzikle gündeme gelmeyi hedeflemektedir.

I know it's from a band and I know I got on their list because I emailed them from their site to see how to buy their album here in the US. I'm pretty sure I can get Melissa Maples (http://twitter.com/melissamaples) to translate it for me since she is an American living in Turkey, and is also how I first heard of the band.
When I do get the CD your cover-song loving adorable husband will be getting a copy because it is covers of songs sung in English but with Turkish style music.

Yeah, maybe I should put an edit in the post that I know it is from a band... I hope it's a new album rather than a concert cuz I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to make it to the show!

Basically the the band is claiming that they are not in bed with the extreme-right wing party called Nationalist Movement Party. Apparently some PR agency was claiming (on behalf of) the Nationalist Movement Party. that this band was going to write some songs for the party's election campaign. The band is distancing themselves from this party and claiming that they have nothing to do with the election campaign, there is no such agreement between anybody in the band nor their production company and the political party and the PR company and they're planning to sue the people claiming so.

I don't know anything about this band, I haven't lived in Turkey since late 2000. MHP (Nationalist Movement Party) is a pretty much fascist, extreme-right wing party, one of the nastiest bunch of bastards in Turkey.
