'Tis a sad thing. The Nibleys are returning to their strange land of Chicago today.
We got to see lots of other wonderful people while they were here too.

Saturday night we went to an El Loro clone with them and met [livejournal.com profile] genevra, [livejournal.com profile] akdar and the Monkeys there. Mmmm. Carnitas. We also discovered [livejournal.com profile] dibsy's fear of 'gloopy' food. My Monkeys were, of course, the cutest Monkeys ever! It was still far too early when dinner was done so Kniblet & Dibsey came over to our place and we forced them to watch 40 Year Old Virgin as they'd never seen it. Between the fact that we have the Awsomest Cats Evah and the sheet we put on the couch to keep Kniblet cat hair-free she seemed to not have allergy issues! Yay! We didn't kill [livejournal.com profile] kniblet!

Sunday morning we headed to Chez Nibley, aka the Radisson, for breakfast. They had vouchers for free breakfast. Apparently if you put up a fuss that requires the hotel to call the banquet manager at home, you get free breakfast vouchers for the inconvenience. Good for the Nibleys, bad for the banquet manager! Jewish mothers really are psychic. Right in the middle of a discussion of types of bacon Kniblet's mother called her. hee hee. FYI, back bacon = Canadian bacon.

Breakfast was followed by the four of us going upstairs to do things that are illegal in all the states and many other countries... Yup, Dibsy and I traded musics. LOL. Then we were off to the theater because none of us had seen Children Of Man yet. It made Dibsy a bit homesick. Very depressing movie but also very darn good. We all liked it.

Next after the movie was dinner again. Originally we were going to drop the Nibleys off but they talked us into joining them. It's such a hardship spending time with them, don'tcha know. We met up with [livejournal.com profile] boliviafang and [livejournal.com profile] unopeneddoor at Muddy Paws and then walked up the block to Namaste. Mmmm. More yummy foreign food and many hours of talking and laughing. When we left it was a snow-filled winter wonderland! We dropped [livejournal.com profile] kniblet and [livejournal.com profile] dibsy back at the hotel with hugs & smooches and headed home.

Alas, I had to work on Monday. But when I got home I found that [livejournal.com profile] hellbob had possession of the Nibleys! Yay! We all went over to [livejournal.com profile] mle292 and [livejournal.com profile] vanaabegra's house for yummy pizza and the suckiest pool playing ever! Almost no games were won. More often than not a game was lost resulting in a default winner. There was wine & beer and waaaaay too much talk of horse-lovin'. Because as we know, somewhere right now there is a man making sweet sweet love to his horse. *shudder*

And then we left at 10ish or so because most of us had to be at work today. And we said our last goodbyes. *sigh*

You'd think that folks would get sick of each other after 4 days of pretty much constant contact, but we didn't. Must bump off the person in Minneapolis doing the same job as [livejournal.com profile] kniblet so that she can have the job and come live here!

And now I'm at work with no more Nibleys and it is sad.

Children of Men was, indeed, a really good film. And, yeah, rather bleak. And even though I saw it coming, the bit with Michael Caine's character made me sad.

Just found this post. Am all filled with sadnosity now. :(

Btw, it's not the job I have, it's the one I want. And I just found out that those poopyheads at CDC are ignoring my application so they can offer the job again to people who already work for them. Bastards!

Poor Kniblet! Sadnosity is not allowed (although it is a fabulous word...)

Hey, just figure out who we have to bump off and I'll see what we can do...
If the CDC offered you a job, would you have to move to Atlanta? Atlanta is reeeeeeeally far away. :(

It's a CDC job in Chicago. I did discover a job in Mpls, in the same office as I'd want to work, but it's not the right one. Atlanta's one of my least favorite cities ... duller than mud. :/

Doesn't matter if you like Atlanta or not... It's too far away so you don't have permission to go there!

What is it with the two of you patting my head like a puppy or a small child?

That having been said, [livejournal.com profile] hellbob got to do it in person.

[livejournal.com profile] hellbob does it to everyone since he is freakishly tall.
OK, fine. No patting Kniblet's head.
*grabs Kniblet's ass*
