So, what did y'all do this weekend? I was Watching Porn with [livejournal.com profile] eldogo.

No, it's not what it sounds like! The Minnesota Fringe Festival is going on this week and yesterday I caught the performance of Watching Porn which [livejournal.com profile] eldogo did an awesome job in as the star. Also, it was written by BirdChick's husband Non-Birding Bill, aka [livejournal.com profile] unclebastard so I got to chat with her a bit both before and after the show. [livejournal.com profile] windelina & [livejournal.com profile] montechristobo were there too.

I don't have any other definite plans yet of what shows to see other than that I definitely want to see Die, Clowns, Die because it has one of the Scrimshaw brothers (I can never remember which is which) and they are always funny.

Die, Clowns, Die is an awesome title. If it's still going to be on when we're in town we'd be happy to see it with you. Simon's afraid of clowns which would make the whole experience that much funnier.

Excellent! Do we need to get tickets in advance?

Oh, and I LOVE your clowns will eat me icon. We bought a fridge magnet with that on it last month. :)

It's actually a photo of my t-shirt, which I will have to wear that night!

Fantastic! I will feel so underdressed, though.

Actually, no. I bought a 5 show punch card which ends up being $9 per show rather than the regular price of $10 or $12.
Here's the show description: http://fringefestival.org/showDetail.cfm?showID=289

We don't want to use up all your tickets, though. I could buy our own.

Don't worry about it. When I bought it I was figuring that if I couldn't use all 5 that you guys probably could. Besides, you don't have an MPR membership to use to get discounts. El Dogo brought up a good point about that show selling out, so I'll call and reserve the spots.

Thanks! I'm going to insist on reimbursing you for part of the card, though.

I'd recommend buying in advance for Die, Clowns, Die! It's in a smallish venue (Rarig Center Arena) and it's been selling out. Joe Scrimshaw has grown into one of the bigger Fringe draws over the years.

Oooh. Good point. I'll do the $2.50 reservation thing on my punchcard. Thanks.
