Moose is back in the U.S.! So is genevra. They got home from Italy late last night. I can't wait to see the pictures!! I am so jealous of my moose, going to Italy without me!

Apple is making me very cranky. Or Airborne. I'm not sure which is currently to blame. My laptop is either still at Apple but the shipping label has been generated (if I believe the Airborne person) or at Airborne in Taiwan awaiting customs inspection & it just doesn't show up in the tracking system yet because it is international (if I believe the Apple person). Either way, it is not here, and it won't be here tomorrow. My ipod sat in Shanghai waiting for customs to clear it for over a week. Airborne says that is because Apple marked it regular freight instead of express. It's now in the US awaiting US Customs approval. So far I have been less than impressed with Apple's ability to get me what I ordered. I wouldn't be so annoyed if they had told me when I placed the order that it would be over two weeks.

Over a month into school and I am still really enjoying it. I like my teachers & have been very impressed with them and the program. I have already decided that the two classes I will take next semester are Typography and Intro to Graphics Software.

I watched the Angel season premiere last night & I really, really enjoyed it. I have seen pretty much all the Buffy episodes, but I've only seen Season One & the first disk of Season Two of Angel. (Hey, not bad considering I hadn't seen any before they released Buffy S1 on DVD!) So there is a lot of stuff I don't know, like the entire Connor story line, and who the heck was Lilah, and who is Fred, and how did Cordy end up in a coma? But, Joss Wheden is such an amazing writer that it didn't matter. It was just a really fun episode. And had several great quotes! Thank you minervacat & notmonochrome! I wasn't sure if I was going to watch it or not because of the whole gap in my viewing thing, but I knew you would be talking about it so I figured that I should watch it because I would find out what happened anyway! I think I'm going to have to fit in a second viewing this weekend!

I sat down and I was going to try and answer your questions, and then I realized that I would end up writing a novel about them, so what I'm going to do instead is either let Manda answer them, or find a nice summary of what's happened over the last four seasons that someone else wrote. I'll email you if I do find one.

But one easy answer is this: Lilah is the lawyer from Wolfram and Hart who originally confronts Faith in the alley in Five by Five, Angel S1. We meet her for the first time early in S1.

I'm not gonna stress too much about figuring it all out. If there is some critical plot point that I can't figure out I know who to ask! Otherwise I'll just keep watching & catching up as the DVD's come out. I keep forgetting to check if there are Angel reruns anywhere out there in tv land, like they did with Buffy. That was how I got caught up with that.

As noted below, Fred first appears at the end of S2. And TNT just acquired the syndication rights to Angel, like FX has to Buffy, and I think it airs at 4 up where you are. Check it out - just started recently, so they should still be in S1, and you can start to catch up when they move on to S2. (S3 will be on DVD in February, as well.)

Just checked the schedule & there are a couple different rerun threads on various channels/times. Sunday nights they are just starting S3 (Missed ep 1, ep 2 is this week) once a week. So I will start tivoing that so that I will have a few episodes of S3 stocked up once I finish the S2 DVD's. Then, as soon as the daily TNT catches up to where the once a week S3 is at I can switch over for a daily fix!
I love our Microsoft UltimateTV! It records everything for me & I don't have to worry about times. And it's like a SuperTivo, cuz it does 2 channels at once.

And Fred is a chick they picked up in Lorn's home dimension who had been sucked there by some nasty enchanted book. She's a Physics geek.

The whole Connor thing is really screwy, so it is probably best left for the catch-up dvd's.

And Lorn is the demon who was introduced for the soul purpose of making Angel sing, right? I'm assuming from his presence in the premier that he will assume a bit more importance as we go along. As far as the Connor thing, I knew that Angel had a son just from when all you guys would be talking about Buffy & Angel on Wed nites.
If you think that Spike is good looking you MUST go look at minervacat's beautiful picture of him from back in 1996 before he bleached his hair. Yum!
