Yay! I didn't have to pay anything to file my taxes! State Farm Insurance has a deal where their customers can file w/Turbo Tax without paying any fees. Yay!

*edit* Even if you've already started entering the stuff in Turbo Tax online you can still get the free filing. Just make sure that before you get to the page where it lists the charges for Turbo Tax that you use the link on the State Farm page to get to Turbo Tax. Before finding out about the State Farm thing it was going to cost almost $50 for TT & TT state. But now, free!

Cool! We've been totally lazy about getting the taxes done this year, partly because we both had to apply for replacement W2s after the originals didn't make it through the USPS forwarding process. Simon's still hasn't arrived.

If you're e-filing and don't need to send the actual W-2s anyway you can probably get all the info you need off of the last paycheck of the year.

When you log in to their page there is a link on the upper left. It doesn't matter if you've already started entering stuff or not. You just have to make sure that when you are at the final actual filing part of it that you got to it via the State Farm link.

They finally fixed your problem, eh?

I only found out about it because when TT had the box to enter a promotional code I went out and googled for one. That's where I found a forum post about the State Farm deal...

Yep, they fixed it!

I didn't see a box for entering a promotional code... Is it just on the on-line version? I bought the disk and did it that way.

Yeah, you had to do the online version to get the free deal. And it was completely 100% freeeeeeeeee
