Woo hoo! I have a date next Thursday!
hee hee
Our friend Jeanine's work holiday party...
I did tell her that I don't put out on the first date though. :)

Her boss goes all out. We'll be having dinner at Forepaugh's in St. Paul.
Two years ago she took [livejournal.com profile] hellbob as her date. There's one wife that Jeanine's not really fond of who last year made a snide comment along the lines of "Oh, that's right. Last year you brought your "friend" who was married," kind of like she suspected that Jeanine & [livejournal.com profile] hellbob were having an affair. So while she doesn't want to spend any extra time chatting with this woman, she does want to make sure to at least mention "yeah, you met her husband two years ago..." just because the woman shouldn't be allowed to assume that she can't be friends with a married man.

So instead of admitting she wasn't having an affair, she wants them to think she's a lesbian? (Not that there's anything wrong with that...)

I've got a dare!

[livejournal.com profile] geohard has often fulfilled the role of lend-a-date. It's really nice to have an adult friend to talk to at crowded, stuffy social events.

Say something inappropriate to her or kiss your friend on the mouth after you've been introduced and Ms. Co-worker is looking over. Cheeze and crackers.

[livejournal.com profile] passaddhi was my date for my work's holiday party a couple years ago. I don't remember why [livejournal.com profile] hellbob couldn't go... I think it was a geek boy gaming weekend.
I can't do anything innapropriate with Jeanine because she'll have to work with these people (it's a smaller company, only about 20 people or so) so no out right snarkiness or groping. *grin*

Vel-Vette here using alter ego log in. Have great fun on your date. Also wanted to let you know that I'm working on a manipulation using one of your pictures of James and will post later to Vel-Vette's journal. Hope you like it when it gets posted. MUAH!

*just because the woman shouldn't be allowed to assume that she can't be friends with a married man.*

I agree completely! :) Men and women are perfectly capable of being friends or coworkers without having sex and people should figure this out. Shawn's work was considering if men and women should be allowed to work together... there was a flyer or something but the basic assumption was that any male and any female put together in any situation could lead to trouble and breaking up marriages.

What a load! Enjoy the party! Jeanine's a nice girl. Make a pass at stupid lady. :)
