Yeah, they're everywhere! It used to be just a lot of businesses had flags, and all the government buildings. But after Sept. 11 everyone had one. They are so common now that it's almost like they don't have as much meaning anymore. We don't even notice them.
When [livejournal.com profile] lucky13charm and I were in Toronto we noticed that. There were only a few Canadian flags, but they were really big and up really high. Sometimes less is more.
