...and not in the fun way. At least not the really fun way. *grin*

[livejournal.com profile] hellbob got me a DDR pad as part of my B-day present, but the PS2 game to go with it didn't arrive until yesterday. I just did about 10 songs or so on workout mode & I've discovered two things. 1) I suck. A lot. I have NO rhythm and very little balance. 2) I'm incredibly out of shape!

Now I'll cool down & relax while watching my pretty gay boys on QAF. :)

DDR is pretty cool. But, yes it requires a lot of work. Then you see teens just dancing away and you realize you have a lot more to learn!

Yeah, so after relaxing for a little while I decided to have another go at it... *tired now*

It's amazaing how fast you pick it up with just a bit of constant, obsesive practice . : )

I need to dust mine off and get back into it.

I'm guessing the non-insane levels would also be good physical therapy for coordination as [livejournal.com profile] gingerpook gets her strength back up?

I think it can take a while to become coordinated on that stupid pad. I've always had pretty good rythm and have always been pretty coordinated, but I find myself feeling unbelievable ridiculous trying to keep up with the screen....especially in workout mode. Word of advice...try the learning ones first....it's definitely not as fast as the work out mode is, but it helped me catch on a bit.
