Fun with PhotoShop

I'm in a Spike community & they are doing a photo manipulaton challenge where the subject is "historical Spike." In other words pick any era & photoshop him in. Since the posts in the community are f-locked I'm posting mine here too. I'm really happy with the way it came out:

Spike as a Klickitat brave, circa 1899.



The originals I used can be found here and here.

Photoshop challenges can be sooo addictive, especially when I'm on summer break so there's no homework. The tough part though is finding the source pics with the right lighting, texture, etc.

The community it's in is darker_spike, but all the posts in it are posted as friends only. I could direct you to the pages, but you wouldn't be able to see any of them without joining. Also, you might have to avert your eyes from some of them because he's nekkid. Not that I've looked at those ones...

dismay...?? ;) Maybe I can join just to see historical Spike pics and then leave? I love photoshop, and wish I could do it better. I never watched Buffy much, but I sure watched Spike if I caught him on! *wink*

Wooo-that was fun. Yours is absolutely one of the best done and more original. I also liked Beautiful Painting Spike and Star Wars Spike --he would have made a handsome Obi Wan.

Yeah, some are really well done & seamlessly blended, and some are "I just pasted Spike's face on."
