I think I need to make a cover song playlist on my iPod.
It will NOT contain any songs from THIS album, as I have no intention of ever letting it into my house.
Any & all suggestions of cover songs I *need* to own will be considered. Possibly then discarded, but considered none the less.

I'm sure I'll think of more once I get home.

Johnny Cash, "One" (from American III: Solitary Man)
Johnny Cash, "Hurt" (from American IV: The Man Comes Around)
Red House Painters, "Follow You, Follow Me" (from Shanti Project Collection)
Smashing Pumpkins, "Landslide" (from, uh, Pisces Iscariot?)

Señor Coconut y su Conjunto, "Home Computer" (from El Baile Alemán)
Low, "Transmission" (from Transmission EP)
Moby, "New Dawn Fades" (from I Like To Score)
Sex Pistols, "Substitute" (from The Great Rock-n-Roll Swindle)
Type O Negative, "Summer Breeze" (from Bloody Kisses)
Elvis Costello, "My Funny Valentine" (bonus track from Armed Forces)
Death Cab for Cutie, "All Is Full of Love" (from The Photo Album bonus disc)
Galaxie 500, "Ceremony" (from On Fire)
Low & Dirty Three, "Down by the River" (from In the Fishtank)
Luna, "Sweet Child o' Mine" (from The Days of Our Nights)
Pixies, "Head On" (from Trompe le Monde)
The Postal Service, "Against All Odds" (single)
Richard Thompson, "Kiss" (not sure it's ever been legitimately released, but it's on the internets)
Tori Amos, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" (from Crucify EP)

Obviously, not all of these are absolutely essential, but they're all pretty darn good.

I'll let ya know. I'm overwhelmed with music lately. I'm up to about 100 on my free iTunes from Pepsi with 20ish credits currently sitting out there. I discovered that I have many friends who drink Pepsi products but don't do the iTunes thing. *grin* Foolish Mortals!
I think I have to get that Burning Down the House one though because two of you recommended it.
