Date: 2005-03-14 07:16 am (UTC)Every summer they took 8-10 high school students & you learned about animal behavior & such, and we each picked an animal to study. Then at the end of the summer we wrote a report & presented our research & findings, along w/slides, to family, friends, and zoo staff. I found out after picking the arctic foxes that they were breeding a tiger that year & were gonna have cubs. If I had known I would have done a tiger project just for the chance to help with tiger feedings and/or weighings!
It was a fun way to spend the summer, and the Minnesota Zoo was (and still is) an excellent zoo. I love my zoo membership. :)
