The first sign of spring ain't no stinkin' robin. It is when the blue heron comes back to the pond at work. Sorry for the crappy pic. He was flying and all....
Thank you! That pond is one of the (few) wonderful things about where I work. I've seen deer, a weasly thing, a muskrat, mallards, flying vermin aka canada geese, a different kind of duck with white on it's head, the blue heron, a white heron, and garter snakes. Rumor has it that there is a red fox that comes to the pond too, but I haven't seen him yet!
