Cute l'il balls of fur!
Oct. 13th, 2004 12:37 amThey were settled enough for them each to be held & checked out. They don't appear to have any fleas, & their ears look mite-free!
Also, it was determined that there are two girls and three boys. Cheb is dangerously close to falling in love with the little orange boy. It's just that whole decision thing: kitten or letting
We both took pictures & I'll try to post mine tomorrow...
We just don't see enough of
Still haven't figured out how to get a *&%$$ing background gif to show up in my web pages. Cheb went through the code with me & we found a few things we thought it might be, but we were wrong! Grr. Maybe I can catch Bill tomorrow night on campus and he can enlighten me... It's just so frustrating because it even looks right when I Preview in Browser. It's not until it's actually up on the site that I can see that the image isn't there. Also, since the background is blue, I am using white text which doesn't work well when there is no background image!

Date: 2004-10-13 05:55 am (UTC)Is the background image actually on the server?
Is the path to it relative or absolute?
Are other graphics showing up? If so, is your background image tag correct?
I'd bet on the path, myself. I always make that mistake.

3. There aren't any other graphics. The focus of this assignment was using style sheets to format text. I just wanted a nice background behind all my text. *pout*

Date: 2004-10-13 06:23 am (UTC)* The backslashes are still showing up in the br tags and the css link tags.
* The image is either not there at all, read-protected, or unreadable by the server. According to the code, it should be here:
http://www.dreamflyte.com/SharonClass/Text/TextBackground.gif
But I get an error when I try to access the graphics file directly.

Date: 2004-10-13 11:37 am (UTC)When I took out the backslashes it didn't work at all, so I sent it through the markup validater at http://validator.w3.org/ & it said that those tags should have backslashes because they are self-terminating, or something like that.

Date: 2004-10-13 11:43 am (UTC)I never even considered that option! Thank you! Now I can try to figure out what is wrong with the .gif...
Damn, it looks hideous with a random photo tiling the background!
