There is a new version of the iPod!
A 20 GB iPod now costs what the 10 GB used to($299), and the 40 GB price has dropped to what the 20 GB was($399).
Which means that there are probably 10 GB ones available for less than $200.

Take a look at the Creative Nomad. I have the 40 GB one. It's not Microsoft, but I love mine.

Unfortunately, it's not Mac compatible. If I invest over $100 in a mp3 player I'm going to want it to play Apple's ACC (AAC?) files that I download from iTunes, and the Audible.com files.
