Our next assignment is to do a 24 page catalog. I need to think of what my subject will be.

Give me suggestions!

Basic guidelines are that it should be a Commercial entity (brick & mortar store, product or manufacturer, Art or Science museum special exhibit, etc.)

Bonus points if it's something where I can photograph stuff myself.

I want something fun that interests me, but it's far too early in the morning for me to think of anything!

You could do a catalog for a brick and mortar store that specializes in bricks and mortar.

Oooh! Oooh! A guide to Minneapolis area parks and publicly available attractions! Some zoo pictures, waterfalls, hiking trails, indoor gardens...

Offer to sell the como park cherry, the stone arch bridge, downtown skyscrapers... With all the golden parachutes being given out on wall street, there is an untapped market ripe for being targeted.

Science Museum of Minnesota

Como Park Conservatory

Grand Avenue in Saint Paul (kind of an entity in its own right)

Vine & Branches Store and Gallery... Roseville or Arden Hills, I think. Laurie Ashbach is the owner and an artist herself.

A recycling facility

Uptown?

Art Crawl?

Local restaurants featuring a specific thing, like award-winning mashed potatoes, or scrambled eggs. Best Sunday brunches. (Need help researching this?)

Independent hobby store(s) (I'm just thinking of Treadle Yard Goods, from the days when I lived on Grand Ave.)

A local farm that has a space at a farmer's market.

Find an art studio and ask to do a catalog of on local artist... ask for volunteers.

Birds?
