This is davedujour. I've just forgotten my LJ password and can only post from my phone. :) (And I'm on the hotel's computer.)
So far I've read all of 1 account about these raids. It's an email of the aunt of a friend of mine who's son (my friends nephew) lives in a house that got raided. I'll be posting the whole email once I get approval and can get into my LJ fully again. However, here's the section that really pisses me off. It's not the raids themselves, it's how the cops acted after this particular raid:
...and called his parents who arrived while the cops were still there they saw the search warrant and video tapped the condition of the house.
The cops were covering they badges. The cops were too cowardly to stand up for their actions. They had a valid search warrant and yet still wouldn't stand up for their actions. They knew they were doing things wrong.
Once I get back to town I'm planning to call both Mayor Coleman's office and the Chief of the St. Paul Police to complain. And every time a see a St. Paul police officer on the street I'm going to politely tell them they're a bunch of cowards because of these actions. I'd also love to know what judge issued such a weak search warrant.
I've got more, but I'm supposed to be on vacation and away from all this crap. Good luck to everyone still in the combat zone. -DDJ
