I know how you feel; it can be crippling, those emotions. In the old days, I'd go watch TV and turn on Public Access; it was campy fun. These days, I just sort of curl up in my bathrobe and try to meditate.

It may even help to take a hot shower or a bath; just inundate yourself with a good sensation. If nothing else, perhaps it will give your body something positive to focus on.
