So, I'll reiterate the recommendation to go to the http://www.htmlgoodies.com/ site. Those tutorials really helped me a lot. But, I'd even more strongly recommend the http://www.w3schools.com/ site. They have the added benefit of having examples right there that you can play with and see what happens in real time.
It's been a while. I more or less gave up on programming when I hit the point where I couldn't figure out how to pass info from a javascript form embedded in a web page to a perl script. I had the javascript, I had the perl script, I just couldn't get them to talk to each other.....
