I totally agree with spellwight having a myspace account in your name could be a good thing to an HR person that is looking for someone that is connected to the net. I don't think it is a bad thing at ALL.
Update it to reflect you portfolio and just let it be, I think it is an asset. I have some myspace snobbery, I LOVE LJ and I think it is awesome, but I have some good friends on myspace and although the impression I have of the site is teens with not much to say, I do know there is some good content on the site, and I repsect the people I know that have content filled accounts there.
