Which anti-squirrel feeder do you have? I have a couple but one that REALLY works is the Flipper by Droll Yankees. It's battery operated and physically flings the squirrel off if it tries to get on the perch. It's pretty fun. I can always tell when a new squirrel has come into the territory. The regulars have already been trained! Doesn't stop them from trying to defeat it though! LOL
and you really should check out the video at DrollYankees.com about half way down the page on the right. It's really funny to watch the squirrels go fly off!
The other anti-squirrel feeder we have worked for a while until they stretched the springs out and gnawed the seed ports. They also managed to nearly decapitate a poor chipmunk who had her head inside the seed port at the time. They murdered her :( (for more along with a pic of the feeder see my entry about it: http://nextian-cutie.livejournal.com/39750.html or my brother-in-law's very funny rendition of it: http://mre00.livejournal.com/11755.html)
I had to laugh the other day though...one of the bigger and more tenacious squirrels figured out if he took a flying leap from the middle of the yard onto the top of the shepherd's hook, he could take advantage of the loose soil holding it to tip the entire setup over so he could sit on the porch railing and reach into the seed ports without touching the perch. I went out and "fixed" it twice, nearly being required to physically move the bold little F'er away from the feeder (yes, he's THAT bold!). I finally moved the hook a bit so it was in more solid soil. I think I pissed him off though. He's been sitting on the porch rail today staring at me through the computer room window! I think he's plotting my overthrow!
