Gavia immer

We went to Mom & Dad's cabin in Wisconsin last weekend. It's just north of Webster and south of Danbury.

The cabin was pretty full. It was mom, dad, me, [livejournal.com profile] hellbob, [livejournal.com profile] genevra, [livejournal.com profile] akdar, [livejournal.com profile] gigglemonkey_b, [livejournal.com profile] technomonkey_m, my brother Paul, his wife Jen, their son Xander, my cousin John, his wife Janet, their daughter Sierra, Sierra's cousin Emily, and our friend Mark.

I'm really tired right now so I'm going to put up more pidtures tomorrow.

Damn, those kids have grown. Which is of course what they are supposed to do, but it is still amazing.

I reckon that they've been stretching them. They're so darn big.

And cute.

The "TechnoMonkey!" photo is absolutely perfect. Great shot. "Xander" is a close second.

The "Xander" and "TechnoMonkey playing with his grandpa" shots show a lot of skill in picking the right moment to capture, but I think they would have been better as landscape shots rather than portrait. The vertical format cuts off the path of the implied horizontal action.

You are doing a better job of giving your subjects some head room, but you still show a bias in putting more empty space at your subjects' feet.
