I asked a similar question a while back and after much searching, I can only find the following notes that I saved from the extensive comments that followed.

Oscars' Chocolate Oatmeal Stout
Kronenborg 1664
Stella Artois
Shepherd & Neame Spitfire
Harvey's Rother Valley Level Best
Foggy Bottom Amber
Capitol City Heffeweiser

All have been spotted in America, although I only know for sure that the last two are actually American beers. Also I seem to remember hearing that Blue Max liquors somewhere in the metro, has an exceptional beer selection. I actually registered with BeerAdvocate.com and learned a lot, but I can't remember my password and I'm too lazy to create another account.
Good luck.

Oh, and I like Guinness (dark) and Moose Drool (medium). Moose Drool is American. Guinness is getting so trendy it's not appreciated for the dense cocoa-y apres-dinner drink it can be.
