I'm not the beer drinker in the relationship, but I am observant. For hoppy, I'd suggest Three Floyds Alpha King IPA. It's brewed in Indiana, so I don't know if you can get it in the Cities. If you have time sneak over the border to Hudson and pick up some New Glarus beer. It's only distributed in Wisconsin.
