I was just glad I spotted him before I walked up and spooked him! I was acutally heading toward the pond to shoot the egret! When I was telling Rick about him before I had the pics transferred to the computer and got him identified my description was that he was like a Great Blue Heron, only not tall. So when I found out that he IS a heron I was very happy with myself!
