Las Vegas is always a good destination for 'adult' fun but it can get pricey.
Pismo Beach is a great location, if you want to experience California. Great beaches, about an hour away from Hearst Castle (which you MUST see). Mindy and stopped there on our Honeymoon, and I it is a very memorable place to visit. Plus, I will wager that your friends who live in LA would enjoy it as well.
