Spring!

It was sooooo gorgeous out today!
When I got home from work our friend was in the driveway taking apart his car door with hellbob's help. Apparently the power window stopped working when it was 2/3 open.
While they worked on the car I attempted a plant rescue. There are some plants that every single year attemp to grow. Unfortunately they try to grow right where our garbage cans sit, so they never make it very far. I don't even know what they are. I'm guessing irises, but I'm not sure what the other ones are. I dug them up and planted them in a different area so we'll see if they actually live & grow. If not, it's not like they're any worse off than they were!

Then, as long as I was playing in the dirt anyway I grabbed my camera and shot some closeups of the tulips I've got sprouting, and the little friend I found while digging.

There was a new kind of duck in the pond this morning that I hadn't seen here before:
Redhead Aythya americana

It's basically a duck. With a red head. Shocking, I know.

But he flew off before I had a chance to get a picture. So besides the everyday Mallards & Canada Flying Vermin that we always have, that's 4 other kinds of ducks I've seen this year...

Television and drool

Apparently it is adorable man night on my Tivo tonight.

First Veronica Mars. Logan may not always be the best guy but he is pretty much always adorable. We'll just ignore the fact that he has got to be waaaaaay to young for me!
And now I'm watching Bones, and Angel Agent Booth just came in all cheerful & dressed in white & acting adorable. It's nice to see him developing some personality and not just being Mr. I Brood, Therefore I Am. And I love the tension between his adorable smart snarky self and Bones' clueless naive self and I just want that to go on forever and ever without the silly writers Moonlighting it. (but Booth can totally take off his shirt if he wants. What? You know you were thinking it too!)
