Photo pimp!

Mr. dakegra, esq. has formed a new LJ community that all you photographer types should check out.

It is called hundredpics, and it's pretty simple. You take a picture a day and post it for 100 days. If you skip one you start over.

He just created it today, so it doesn't have any rules yet. I don't know if you have to do your posting on the same day or if you just have to take the picture each day. I'm planning to do it at some point but not right now. This is a horrible time of year for me photographically because it is dark when I get to work and it is dark when I leave. bleah. When the world lightens up I'll give it a go.

Orlando!

I just booked a two bedroom resort in Orlando for Friday, January 27th through Monday, January 30th.
Up to 6 people can stay there.

So, which four of you want to come with?

You would have to buy your own airfare.
The room would be about $50-75 per person for the whole weekend.
There will be a full kitchen and the resort has a ton of other ammenities.

Rick & I will be taking the room with the king size bed. The other bedroom has two double beds and there is a queen size foldout sofa.

Why should you go to Orlando that weekend?

1. It's January. This means it is cold in Minnesota. Florida is not cold.

2. Your pick of theme parks...Walt Disney World, Epcot, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa

The guests include Summer Glau and Alan Tudyk. Also Hurley from Lost, George A. Romero, some horror movie actors, some Happy Days and Three's Company stars, some comic creators, and even some porn stars.

6. I have never ever in my entire life seen the Atlantic Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico.


chebutykin, you & cajones could write off the expenses on your taxes. You could get free tables in the convention's Creator Alley. You could meet George A. Romero. You liked Orlando when you went before.

mhuot & dragonsden, you could meet two shiny Firefly/Serenity stars and add their autographs to the Ron Glass one you already have. And some_day_soling and jaconn are only 140 miles away.

some_day_soling and jaconn, if you could talk dragonsden & mhuot into going with us, you could drive to Orlando for the weekend to see them and just pay hotel, not airfare.

scubagrrl, instead of coming to Minnesota this month, you could forget your family and just come see me & hellbob. It's warmer in Florida.

I could keep finding reasons that each of you need to go...

I found plane tickets for $217 last night so hotel + air would be less than $300 per person. Oh yeah, did I mention that it is January and Florida is warm?


BTW, if we can't get someone to help w/sharing the costs I have until the 17th to cancel the room...

MySpace

I pretty much listen to podcasts all day at work, and just about every one of the podcasters has a MySpace account it seems. So I decided to go ahead and jump on that bandwagon. I don't plan on using it to blog at all. I'm happy here in LJ land. The ads on my home page annoy me. Going to people's sites where music plays annoys me. Eh. We'll see.

So if any of you are on MySpace go ahead and friend me. And tell my your name there.

Oh, and oddly enough, I am hellziggy over there too.
