I have a couch! It is big and red!

I don't like looking at animals in cages.

I realize that most zoos have gotten a lot better in terms of animal habitats over the last few years and also do a lot of good conservation work. Also, recently, some of them are doing disease surveillance for things like avian influenza and West Nile virus. I occasionally work with the veterinary epidemiologist at the Lincoln Park Zoo -- he finds it really amusing that I don't like them.
