I've been meaning to ask this question for a while, and your photo reminded me. I see in there that there's an American flag. Do you guys have a lot of them around your cities? I seem to notice them on TV and stuff. We just... don't. Other than on, say , Buckingham Palace. I can't think of a single building or place in Leeds which has a Union Jack flying.
Yeah, they're everywhere! It used to be just a lot of businesses had flags, and all the government buildings. But after Sept. 11 everyone had one. They are so common now that it's almost like they don't have as much meaning anymore. We don't even notice them. When lucky13charm and I were in Toronto we noticed that. There were only a few Canadian flags, but they were really big and up really high. Sometimes less is more.
