My big accomplishment for the day? I cleaned out my yahoo inbox.
I know it doesn't seem like much, but we're talking over 700 messages not even counting the bulk mail folder!
I've had that email address for at least 5 years & it is the one I use when signing up for stuff online or for entering contests, so it gets put on a lot of mailing lists. Most of them that get into the inbox I can tell where they are from. I enter a contest & then I start getting newsletters from that company. But after so long it had started to get kind of out of control.
So I went through, deleted most everything. Looked at the other stuff that might have been important. Deleted most of that too. Actually finally made a folder to store things like password emails & product registration emails. Damn. It's done. Now I just have to check it daily for a while and start unsubscribing as stuff comes in so that it doesn't overwhelm again...
Also, I bought paint today to paint the stairwell. Instead of a lovely shade of mint green, the stairwell to the basement will be Moonlit Yellow!
And my dad came over today and hooked up the stove to the gas line so [livejournal.com profile] frozendragon can cook downstairs now instead of having to haul stuff upstairs.

The moonlit yellow sounds like a lovely introduction to the mint green. ;) You remind me that I really need to get a printer hooked up to my computer again one of these days. I like to print a certain amount of correspondence, just so written history is not blown to the digital winds, and I have a butt load of emails waiting.

Be sure to post pics of the paint jobs! I love those two colors: how sunny and fresh. Tres moderne!

Noooo! The mint green is getting covered up! I used to like mint green. Then I bought a house that had a mint green bathroom in the basement. And a mint green bedroom in the basement, but it was just a bit different of a mint green. And a mint green stairwell, that was a different mint green than the other two rooms. And the fireplace in the basement? The bricks were painted green. A bright Kelly Inn kinda green. And in the bedroom the shelves were also painted that bright green. And the curtains were a nasty olive green.
Our ongoing quest has therefore been to remove all green from the house! So yes, Moonlit Yellow is sunny & fresh! But mint green is EVIL!
I haven't decided on a color for the stairs themselves yet. I'm kind of leaning toward Infinity And Beyond Blue.
