Haven't figured out if I can/how to direct link to new gallery, so you'll have to do the clicky thing to see:

You can direct link. Go into the picture, and right click on it. Pick properties, and you will see a couple of urls. One of them is image location. copy that as your image source, eh voila!

Imagine that, I know how to do something in html/web!

you can use the IMG SRC tags .. and use this URL

http://rsnyder.mhuot.net/albums/NaturePictures/FlyingTiger_copy.sized.jpg

so in the <> you would put IMG SRC="" and in between the "" you'd put that URL. THEN it will appear in the lj, for everyone to see :) :)
