Pictures from yesterday's owl talk that Birdchick gave at The Raptor Center:

I just love this guy's cock-eyed head tilt. Sharon described him as the Forrest Gump of the center's education birds. He had head trauma when he was brought in.

Nice pics. Especially the Great Horned Owl. If I have not told you the unfortunate story of my Mom's friend and tGHO remind me next time I see you.

I love owls, hawks, eagles...even the tiny hawks like
the Sparrow Hawks.

I once had a fledgling Sparrow Hawk for a couple of days
before I put her where I hoped her parents would find her
again. Some children had brought her to me, I being the
crazy animal lady of the block. ;)

I fed her raw chicken and she sat on my children's heads and was completely unafraid of us.

I love Red Tailed hawks, too. We have alot of them here.

Wonderful pictures!

Lovely pictures! Every time I fill my birdfeeder the Sparrow Hawk attacks. Gives a new meaning to "birdfeeder" and often leaves feathers all over my front lawn. Feh!
