I watched the first episode of the new season. While I was quite fond of Eccleston (or however you spell it...) I think that this new Doctor will probably grow on me. He seems to also have good chemistry with Rose, so it's do-able.

Of course, I used my great & mighty psychic powers to send my spirit to England to watch it because there's no legal way to watch it in the US right now...
