Very cool bug shot. Macro lens?
I like how the bug fits into the gap in the bark.
Did you get any shots that were more shiny caparace and less leggy?
I can see that it isn't an Apple tree.
Anybody else see the "P" and "C" on the leaf?

Yup. 50 mm 1:2.5 Canon macro.
It is a Maple tree. It is the EVIL Maple tree that doesn't alway drop it's leaves before it snows.
