iPod

Alright, y'all can blame [livejournal.com profile] oed_1 for me posting this. He's jumped on the free ipod bandwagon, and so I used him as a referral and signed up too.
I need to have 5 people that I refer to sign up for an offer using this link:
http://www.freeiPods.com/default.aspx?referer=9451544
One of the offers that they have out there is the new Blockbuster Netflix ripoff, so you can watch a bunch of movies while earning me an iPod! (I'm looking at you miss movie rental chick, [livejournal.com profile] lucky13charm)
Also, once I have my five referrals I will gladly pimp the referral number of anyone who helps me out!

what are the "online offers" that we're supposed to participate in? how is this not a pyramid scheme?

They have the Blockbuster free trial, the BMG pile o' CDs for a penny, some gourmet coffee you can buy, a couple credit cards you can sign up for, some cheesy "miracle" weight loss pills. Can't remember what else off the top of my head.
It's not a pyramid scheme because the ipod company gets money from the companies with the offers for advertising and a portion of that is what's used to pay for the ipods. In a pyramid scheme you have to pay money & then you get other people to give you money.
