It's a banded peacock!
I took this picture at the zoo last friday. I can't find this one on the zoo's id guide or in any of my books. Any of y'all have a clue what species it is?

Red-Spotted Purple
Limenitis arthemis
there's a very similar looking one here, so whatever it is, it's both at the zoo and in costa rica.

the pictures look right, but the descriptions keep mentioning blue patches.
