It's official...

...I am unemployed.
And not in that "I'm unemployed but I'll start my new job on Monday" kind of way either.
Yup, jobless. Don't know where I'm going next.
I just stopped briefly at home to drop off my plants, and then I'm going to head up to Maple Grove for our happy hour.

And have a great happy hour!

*hugs*

Take a bit of time to sort our your priorities and rest. I think that is important.

And then, go get them. You have some awesome skills, I know that you will find a good fit and I am pretty sure you will love your next job as it will be more involved with what you are interested in, you have so many opportunities! I know that is a bit new-agey weird, but I do believe that this will work out for you.

Happy, Happy Hour!

Been there a time or two (or three)

I've had two companies go out of business without nice, one company fired all the employees in certain departments after they were bought out and the new management wanted to sweep with a big broom, and one company flat out fired me.

Man it sucks and you worry and such, but there is always another job. The next one might be better and pay more.

Best of luck to you!

Condolences or congratulations, whichever you'd prefer right now.

I now know that there are temp agencies that specialize in technical skills. I'm all sorts of curious if there are any that specialize in the sort of field you're working towards (What would that be called? Maybe it's still technology work...) It might be a great opportunity to get your foot in the door somewhere awesome.

(crosses fingers that this works out to your benefit in the longrun)

Should I send Giles to whisper soothing...er...filthy things in your ear? Really, that man can make 'I'm changing the cat box' sound like some deliciously perverted sexual practice.

*hugs* Best of luck! You're fantastic, so everything will work out :)

sorry to hear that

that's rough. I had one job where people showed up to work one day to find a gone out of business sign on the door. Here's hoping the next one will be even better!

take it easy

Welcome to the ranks! One good thing about being unemployed is that you can catch up on all those household projects you neglected. You should have seen the mess I cleaned out of my garage :-).

I've got an appointment on Tuesday at 11:00!

[identity profile] hellziggy.livejournal.com 2007-07-02 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
I'll talke some Spike instead, please? :)

[identity profile] gileswench.livejournal.com 2007-07-02 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
That's right! You're a Spike girl. He's on his way...and he's hoping to spend more time with your moose while he's there.

Giles is a little hurt, but that's okay. I'm sure he'll respond quickly to a bit of TLC from his Wench.
