We put the can on its side but he wasn't willing to leave (he had quite the buffet going on in there) so we tugged the plastic bag out until he was sick of us and took off. He spent most of the day in there.
Global warming. We never used to have possums up here, but they are one of the many creatures that seem to thrive on human contact. So, along with squirrels, raccoons, mice, rats and roaches they are becoming more plentiful instead of dying out.
I like possums- as long as they're not staring me in the face at 1:30 in the morning. I like them because they eat snails and they're cute.
Ottis treed one in the backyard one night. Barking at 1:30. Obviously there's something going on- he's always quiet at night. So I go outside and find eyes behind one of the shrubs back there. Scared the snot out of me. Got the dog inside, got Jentina to go out side, and the little guy had found his own way out. Damn.
My favorite is your first pic- where he's looking at the camera. And it almost looks like he's wearing a pirate hat. :)
