Microsoft...

Apparently my copy of MS Office is relatively common because I had to turn off my computer's airport at the beginning of class. Another user with the same license was already logged in on the same network and so the program would shut down...
I suppose if I actually gave Microsoft money for the program I wouldn't have these issues...

That happened to me the other day as well. And I downloaded mine from someone in America. I had to go offline to be able to continue using it. Funny thing, the name of the other user showed up. There were two guys with a Mac in there so it was probably one of them. Thief! lol

Who the hell buys Office stuff? It costs an arm and a leg. If they sold it cheaper they might actually sell it, not just have it distributed over the net by annoyed non costumers.

I hear that one.

If you have to break down and buy one, go to your college's computer store and buy a "student" version. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Entourage for $65.

Hey Dr. Jones.

Meet Gabriel, our cranky old man:

and our beautiful diva, Lump:

Mr. Cranky-pants is half Siamese and half Tabby. He's 15 years old this fall!

Yeah, this one had a name too. All my software on Chiana is legal, except the Office stuff. Hubby figured it out once... We've never actually paid for a MicroSoft product.

Oooh, it's gotten cheaper. The student one was $150 back when I got my computer. :)

Dr. Jones is also half Siamese and half Tabby!
How about that?!
He's only 6 years old and currently an only child.

They are like brothers!
Gabe didn't used to be nearly so cranky. I think as he gets older his Siamese half is taking over. He gets along well with other cats and loves grooming them, but when Miss Lump turned about two she decided that Gabe was teh most evil cat evah! She's half his size, has no front claws, only has three of her canines, but she thinks she is the baddest toughest cat ever!
