good mornin'

So I'm sitting here wearing a t-shirt and monkey pants.

Gonna leave for work in about 15 minutes.
The idea of working on a holiday sucks, but... overtime pay in addition to holiday pay is good. Getting to start a little later in the morning is good. Knowing that if it's a crap day and things are just not going good i can leave whenever i want is good. Getting to wear Monkey Pants to work is really good!

Ohhh, the [evil overlords] don't treat Good Friday as a holiday. Then again...I don't think I've ever worked anywhere where it is treated as such. So, yay! for your overtime+holiday pay!

Just think of all that lovely money! And think that every dollar is bringing you closer to James Marsters ;) ((y'know for the con and such :) ))

This is the only place I've ever worked where it is a holiday. I think it comes from way back in the day when this was started as a family company. It's really nice when Easter falls in March since there really aren't any other holidays between New Years and Memorial Day.

Between New Year's and Memorial Day we get Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday, Lincoln's Birthday, Washington's Birthday and Pulaski Day. We don't get Good Friday, though. A few years ago the City took Good Friday off the holiday list and gave us an any time personal day instead.

In South Africa, Easter was a 4 day weekend (Good Friday and Easter Monday). Now that was good.

You get separate days off for the two presidinks days?? Whoa.

Must be the big knickers...

I've got ninety thousand pounds in my pyjamas.
I've got forty thousand French francs in my fridge.
I've got lots of lovely lire.
Now the Deutschmark's getting dearer,
And my dollar bills would buy the Brooklyn Bridge.

There is nothing quite as wonderful as money.
There is nothing quite as beautiful as cash.
Some people say it's folly,
But I'd rather have the lolly.
With money you can make a splash.

There is nothing quite as wonderful as money.
...Money, money, money, money.
There is nothing like a newly minted pound.
...Money, money, money, money.

Everyone must hanker
For the butchness of a banker.
It's accountancy that makes the world go 'round.
'Round, 'round, 'round.

You can keep your Marxist ways,
For it's only just a phase,
For it's money, money, money makes the world go 'round.

...Money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, moneeeeey!

Here, I found an mp3 of it. I can't vouch for the audio quality due to currently being at the audio-less work PC at the moment...

excellent. I'll have to wait to evaluate the audio quality until I get home :)

Well, we are in the Land of Lincoln. It would be rude not to.

It's 4 days in Iceland too.
I don't get any of those quasi-holidays off here.

Ohhh, fair point!

The [evil overlords] give us the one Presidink's Day, and NO Martin Luther King Jr. Day.*

I can remember when Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. used to be South Park Ave. We lived over on Michigan Ave. (97th and...), in an area which was bounded by Michigan Ave. and South Park Ave., but I think we had moved to Des Plaines by the time the change was made. So, obviously this was well before your time there -- or anywhwere, come to think of it. o.O
